NTR's Varakatnam to be screened at the 50th edition of IFFI

The 1969 NT Rama Rao directorial, Varakatnam, produced by N Trivikrama Rao under the banner Ramakrishna & NAT Combines will be screened at the 50th edition of IFFI under the Golden Lining Films section. Earlier, it was announced that K Balachander's Iru Kodugal will also be screened under the same section.

Varakatnam stars Rama Rao, Savitri and Krishna Kumari, with music composed by TV Raju. It won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu.

To commemorate its golden jubilee, IFFI is dedicating a section for films, released in 1969, who turn 50 this year. These include National Award-winning films from all parts of India.

The 50th International Film Festival of India, 2019 will witness over 200 films from 76 countries. The Golden Jubilee edition of the festival will take place from November 20-28 at Panjim, Goa.
