Ilaiyaraaja to compose for Prakash Raj-Ramya Krishnan's Rangamaarthanda

Ilaiyaraaja has been roped in to compose music for actor Prakash Raj's new film, Rangamaarthanda. A remake of acclaimed Marathi drama, Natasamrat, the Telugu remake reunites director Krishna Vamsi with the legendary composer after Anthapuram (1998). "Fortunate and blessed to be associated with the god again for Rangamaarthanda...Thank you, sir," tweeted Krishna Vamsi.

Natasamrat, starring Nana Patekar, revolved around the tragic family life of a stage artiste, who has retired from acting but is still reeling under the memories of his theatre days. While Ramya Krishnan has been signed on to play Prakash Raj's wife, Raju Gari Gadhi 3-fame Avika Gor has been signed on to play their daughter. Produced by Abhishek Jawkar and Madhu Kalipu, Rangamaarthanda is expected to go on floors soon.
