The first look of Suriya’s upcoming film with Sudha Kongara, Soorarai Pottru, was unveiled today on social media.

In a classy poster, a fit Suriya is seen to be leaping into the air with his arms stretched on a hill, dressed in a vest and casual pants, as if he is flying.

The new poster is in sync with the previous title poster which had Suriya beside an airplane. Soorarai Pottru is said to be loosely based on the life of GR Gopinath, the founder of India's first budget airline, Air Deccan.

Unveiling the poster, Suriya also revealed the name of his character to be Maaran.

With music by GV Prakash Kumar, Soorarai Pootru will feature Aparna Balamurali as the female lead. The film also stars Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal, and marks the comeback of veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu, who was last seen in Tamil in the 1980 Rajinikanth-starrer Guru.

Soorarai Pottru is expected to hit the screens in the summer of 2020.
