Popular VJ joins Vijay's Thalapathy 64

Popular VJ Ramya Subramanian, who was last seen in Amala Paul's Aadai, has been signed to play an important role in Vijay's next with director Lokesh Kanagaraj, tentatively titled Thalapathy 64.

According to reports, she has been shooting for the film in Delhi for the past three weeks. Interestingly, director Rathna Kumar, who cast her in Aadai, is also a part of Thalapathy 64.

The film, co-starring Vijay Sethupathi, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu, and Antony Varghese, is touted to be a dark action-thriller, set in the backdrop of a college.

The project is progressing at a brisk pace and speculations state that the film, bankrolled by XB Film Creators, will get a release on April 9 next year. 

Thalapathy 64 has music by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan.
