Shriya Saran to star opposite Venkatesh in Asuran remake?

CE Features

Shriya Saran, who was last seen in a cameo in NTR Kathanayakudu, is being considered to reprise Manju Warrier's role in the Telugu remake of Asuran, which is set to star Venkatesh in Dhanush's role. Produced by Suresh Babu and Kalaippuli S Thanu, the Telugu remake is expected to go on floors early next year.

That's not all, Suresh Babu has approached Ohmkar to direct the remake. "Suresh has almost finalised Ohmkar as the director and Shriya for the female lead's role. The duo shares a good rapport with the Daggubati family and couldn't refuse when Suresh offered this film. However, they are yet to sign on the dotted line," says a source.

Shriya and Venkatesh have earlier collaborated on Subash Chandra Bose (2005), Tulasi (2007) and Gopala Gopala (2015), while Ohmkar was supposed to direct the Guru-actor in Raju Gari Gadhi 2.
