Godfather actor Carmine Caridi dead at 85

Carmine Caridi the actor best-known for portraying Carmine Rosato in The Godfather: Part II has died. He was 85.

The actor went into a coma and died on Tuesday in Los Angeles. "Carmine passed peacefully, surrounded by friends and family at Cedars Sinai Hospital," the actor's representatives said in a statement.

Caridi also appeared in The Godfather: Part III as Albert Volpe, an investor in Michael Corleone's casinos, who is killed in an attack at a hotel in Atlantic City.
