Actor James Maslow and Emily Bett Rickards have signed an indie film titled We need to talk. Directed by Todd Wolfe, the production is set to begin shortly.

The film revolves around a celebrity video-gamer who speaks with millions of fans every day, but has problems talking to the people he loves. The problem is identified by his girlfriend who says, "We need to talk," and hence the title of the film.

"What a year this has been! From flying planes in an action movie, to hosting my own show, to now starring alongside some of my favourite actors in this hilarious romcom…just grateful to be doing what I love and seeing it all grow," said Maslow, who is best known for his role in Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush.

The film is produced by Wolfe, Paul Irwin, and Ray Carballada, who also serves as an executive producer with Larry Weitzner.
