Huma Qureshi joins Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead

CE Features

Actor Huma Qureshi joins the cast of Zack Snyder's Netflix original, Army of the Dead. Also starring Dave Bautista, the film will mark the return of Snyder to the director's chair after Justice League (2017).

Interestingly, Snyder, who made his directorial debut with Dawn of the Dead (2004), makes a comeback to familiar territory with Army of the Dead, which revolves around a zombie outbreak and a heist attempted by a group of mercenaries. Ella Purnell, Ana De La Reguera, and Theo Ross play integral roles in the film, which goes on floors in July.

Snyder, Joby Harold, Shay Hatten have developed the screenplay from the story written by the Watchmen-filmmaker. Snyder is also producing the project along with his wife Deborah Snyder and Wesley Coller through their Stone Quarry production company.

Meanwhile, Huma is currently gearing up for the release of her dystopian drama series, Leila, which is set to premiere on Netflix on June 14.
