We had previously reported that Gouri G Kishan, who rose to fame by playing the younger version of Trisha in 96, has been roped in to reprise her role in the Telugu remake, which stars Sharwanand and Samantha.

The young actor took to Twitter to announce that she has begun shooting for the film. She shared a photo of herself, wearing a school uniform and posing in front of a mirror, which has Jaanu written on it, and captioned it: "She wasn't done."

Cinematographer-turned-director C Prem Kumar, who helmed the Tamil original, is directing the remake as well. Bankrolled by Dil Raju under his banner of Sri Venkateswara, the film is tentatively referred to as 'Production no. 34'. The makers are expected to announce the title and release date soon.

Meanwhile, Gouri is awaiting the release of her Malayalam debut, Anugraheethan Antony, which co-stars Sunny Wayne. She will also soon be seen in a music video with Sarjano Khalid of June fame.
