We had recently reported that Simbu, who had been to the UK to get in shape for his role in Venkat Prabhu's Maanadu, had joined the sets of Hansika's 50th film, Maha, which will feature him in an extended cameo.
Now, it's known that Simbu will be seen as a pilot in the film, and his character will have 30-45 minutes of screen time. He will also appear in a song and an action sequence. The shoot for Maha, involving Simbu and Hansika, is happening in Goa and will continue for a week.
"We will be shooting a song, an action block, a boat party, a break-up, and a patch-up sequence in this schedule. Simbu had to shoot continuously shoot from 12 noon to 12.30 am, and he did it enthusiastically, without any complaints. The next schedule will happen in Chennai," said producer Mathiyalagan, in a statement.
Produced by Mathiyalagan under his Etcetera Entertainment banner, Maha is directed by debutant UR Jameel. With music by Ghibran, the film also features Srikanth, Thambi Ramaiah, Karunakaran, Nasser, Jayaprakash, and Chaaya Singh in supporting roles.
Meanwhile, Simbu is expected to start shooting for the Tamil remake of Mufti, bankrolled by Studio Green, and directed by debutant Narthan, after wrapping up Venkar Prabhu's Maanadu. He has also reportedly given the green signal to director VZ Dhorai for a sequel to his 2005 gangster thriller, Thotti Jaya.
