We had earlier reported that Karthick Naren, who shot to fame with his debut film, Dhuruvangal Pathinaru, will be directing Arun Vijay in an upcoming project. Now, a source close to the unit reveals that the film is likely to be titled Mafia. While Prasanna is said to be playing the main antagonist, Nivetha Pethuraj has reportedly been signed to play the female lead in the film, which is expected to go on floors in July. Official confirmation about the project is awaited. 

Arun Vijay is currently in Vietnam, training for his film Boxer, directed by debutant Vivek. The Thadam actor also has the action drama, Agni Siragugal, co-starring Vijay Antony, in the pipeline. Karthick, on the other hand, is awaiting the release of Naragasooran, his second film, starring Arvind Swami, Shriya Saran, Sundeep Kishen and Aathmika.
