Seasoned Telugu actor Rao Ramesh has landed a pivotal role in the much-awaited period action film, KGF: Chapter 2. Reportedly, he has been signed on to play a special role in the film directed by Prashanth Neel. While the shooting of the Yash-starrer is currently underway in Bengaluru, Ramesh is expected to join the sets in August.

A sequel to KGF: Chapter 1, the film also features Srinidhi Shetty as the female lead. Set in the backdrop of the Kolar Gold Fields (KGF), the film traces the journey of a gangster named Rocky Bhai.

KGF: Chapter 2, which is being shot in Kannada, will be dubbed into Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam. Sai Korrapati, who released the first part, has grabbed the Telugu distribution rights yet again for the sequel which is likely to get a release during Christmas.
