Harish Kalyan in talks for Vicky Donor remake

Harish Kalyan, who was last seen in the romantic thriller, Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum, written and directed by Ranjit Jeyakodi, is said to be in talks to play the lead role in the Tamil remake of the Bollywood sleeper hit, Vicky Donor. The original starred Aysuhmann Khurran and Yami Gautham.

This remake will be helmed by Krishna Marimuthu, who debuted with the Telugu film, Yuddham Sharanam, which starred Naga Chaitanya and Lavanya Tripathi in the lead. Produced by Screenscene Productions, the film is expected to star a top heroine. An official announcement regarding the film’s cast and crew members is expected soon.

Vicky Donor, the 2012 romantic comedy based on sperm donation and infertility, was in turn inspired by the Canadian film, Starbuck.

Harish, meanwhile, is busy shooting for Dhanusu Raasi Neyargalae, directed by Sanjay Bharathi, son of veteran director and actor, Santhana Bharathi. The film also stars Rhea Chakraborty and Reba Monica John.
