China is currently in the middle of a love affair with Bollywood, one that has taken Indian filmmakers by surprise, leaving them scrambling to find new ways to capitalise on what is now the world’s biggest box office. Recently, Sridevi-starrer Mom had a massive Rs 44 crore opening in China.

Going with the trend, the makers of Nerkonda Paarvai,  the Tamil remake of the Bollywood hit, Pink, starring Ajith and Shraddha Srinath, are said to be planning a simultaneous China release. If it happens, this will likely be Ajith's first release in China.

Directed by H Vinoth, Nerkonda Paarvai stars Ajith Kumar in the role of a lawyer. The part was originally played by Amitabh Bachchan. Vidya Balan portrays the role of Ajith’s wife, while Shraddha Srinath reprises Taapsee's role from the original.

With music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film slated for release on August 10.
