We had earlier reported that Shruti Haasan and Vijay Sethupathi will be seen together on screen for the first time in director SP Jhananathan's Laabam. The film, produced by Vijay Sethupathi Productions and 7 C S Entertainments, was launched last month in Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu.

Now, the latest update about the film is that the first schedule of the shoot has been completed. The production house, 7Cs Entertaintment‏, took to Twitter to announce the news. 

Also starring Kalaiyarasan and Jagapathi Babu, Laabam will be Shruti's return to the silver screen after 2017's Singam 3. Also, this is the second time Jhananathan is directing Vijay Sethupathi after the 2015 social drama, Purampokku Engira Podhuvuduamai.

Last seen in Super Deluxe, Vijay Sethupathi is awaiting the release of SU Arunkumar's Sindhubaadh in Tamil, and Marconi Mathaiin Malayalam, his debut in the language.
