Pritam to compose for Ranveer Singh-Kabir Khan's '83

Music director Pritam has been roped in for Kabir Khan’s ‘83. The composer-director duo has previously collaborated for films like Tubelight, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Phantom and New York. Pritam's recent work was Abhishek Varman’s Kalank. This the first time the composer is teaming up with Ranveer Singh. 

‘83 recreates the historic victory of the Indian cricket team at the 1983 Cricket World Cup. The film stars Ranveer as former Indian captain Kapil Dev. The selected cast includes Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Sandhu, Jiiva as Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Dhairya Karwa as Ravi Shastri, Jatin Sarna as Yashpal Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi as coach PR Man Singh.

Ranveer and team recently wrapped a specialized boot camp training in Dharamshala. The film is expected to go on floors in London on May 15. Produced by Reliance Entertainment, Madhu Mantena and Vishnu Induri, ‘83 is slated to hit the screens on April 10, 2020, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
