Dalip Tahil joins the cast of Rajinikanth's Darbar

Veteran Bollywood actor Dalip Tahil has joined the cast of AR Murugadoss’ upcoming Rajinikanth-starrer Darbar. The Mumbai-set film features Rajini in the role of a cop after 25 years, and Tahil plays the part of a senior officer who aides Superstar’s character in wiping out a gang of goons from Mumbai. The two actors had last shared screen space in the 1995 crime film, Aatank Hi Aatank. 

Nayanthara plays the female lead in Darbar. She has previously worked with Rajini in Chandramukhi and Kuselan

Several Bollywood actors have joined the cast of Darbar, including Pradeep Kabra, Prateik Babbar, and Jatin Sarna. Apart from them, Nivetha Thomas and Yogi Babu are also a part of the film. 

Produced by Lyca Productions, the film went on floors in Mumbai last month. It is scheduled for release on January 9, 2020. Rajinikanth was last seen in Petta, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. AR Murugadoss’s last directorial venture was Sarkar, starring Vijay.
