Keerthy Suresh, who was last seen in Vijay's Sarkar in Tamil, has reportedly signed a new project, which will be bankrolled by Karthik Subbaraj. A newcomer is said to direct this film, which is said to be a female-centric one. Keerthy apparently gave her nod after being impressed with the powerful script.

The actor is currently busy shooting for her two female-centric Telugu films directed by Narendra and Nagesh Kukunoor of Hyderabad Blues fame. She has also signed a Bollywood sports drama with Badhaai Ho director Amit Sharma alongside Ajay Devgn. In addition, she will also be seen in a brief role in Priyadharshan-Mohanlal’s Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham.

Karthik Subbaraj, meanwhile, is expected to direct Dhanush in an action-thriller next. The filmmaker's last film was the Rajinikanth-starrer, Petta.
