Right from the time a reboot to the iconic film, Child's Play, was announced, fans were waiting to see who would replace Brad Dourif as the voice of the creepy killer doll, Chucky. It has now come to light that veteran actor Mark Hamill is set to lend his voice to Chucky.

The Star Wars actor joins the already announced cast of Aubrey Plaza, Gabriel Bateman and Brian Tyree Henry in the upcoming re-imagining of the 1988 horror classic.

The new movie will follow the same plot of the original, centering on Karen (Plaza), a single mother who gifts her son Andy (Bateman) a toy doll, unaware that it possesses the soul of a serial killer.

Directed by Lars Klevberg of Polaroid fame, the reboot is written by Tyler Burton Smith. The film is slated for a June 21 release.
