Actors Rakul Preet Singh and Catherine Tresa, who worked together in Sarrainodu, will be seen yet again in a socio-fantasy. The duo will be playing the female leads opposite Kalyan Ram in the film to be helmed by debutant Vasishta Mallidi, son of producer M Satyanarayana Reddy of Bunny fame.

To be mounted on a budget of Rs 20 crore under NTR Arts, the film shows Rakul as a journalist and Catherine essaying the role of a warrior queen. “Rakul and Catherine have listened to the script and they believed this project had something different to offer. Although the response from them has been positive, the director is making a few changes for Rakul’s character. They will be signing the dotted line soon,” reveals a source.

The film, which has two timelines -- the 13th century and present, shows Kalyan Ram in a dual role -- one as an infamous conqueror and the other being a modern youth, is expected to go on floors in the latter half of this year.
