Actor Naveen Chandra, predominantly known for his work in Telugu cinema, is reportedly the new addition to Dhanush's next directed by Kodi-fame Durai Senthilkumar. His last film in Tamil was Sivappu, released in 2015. 

Naveen, who is known for films like Sarabham and Brahman, is touted to play the antagonist in the upcoming film. Sneha, who has previously worked with Dhanush in Pudhupettai, will be playing the female lead in the film, which went on floors on March 6 in Courtrallam. Composer duo Vivek-Mervin and Om Prakash will be handling the music and cinematography of the yet-to-be-titled film, respectively.

An official confirmation is awaited from the producers, Sathya Jyothi films, regarding the rest of the cast. It is notable that Dhanush has one more film with the production house under the direction of Ratsasan-fame Ramkumar.
