Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff, who was last seen in Total Dhamaal, has been roped in to play an important role in Vijay's next with Atlee. The news was shared by Archana Kalpathi, who is bankrolling the film under her banner AGS entertainment, on her official Twitter handle.

Jackie, whose last film in Tamil was the 2017 sci-fi mystery thriller, Maayavan, also has Paandi Muni and Walter in the pipeline. Apart from his Tamil projects, he also has films like Prasthanam, Romeo Akbar Walter, and Saaho, in various stages of production. 

The Atlee film, which is referred to as Thalapathy 63, was in the news last week when Nayanthara, who plays the female lead, began shooting for it. Also starring actors like Yogi Babu, Vivek, Kathir, Daniel Balaji, and Anandraj, it has music by AR Rahman and cinematography by GK Vishnu.
