Before commencing work on Lal Singh Chaddha, the official Indian remake of Robert Zemeckis’ Forrest Gump, Aamir Khan will be seen in a cameo appearance in Nitish Tiwari’s Chhichhore. The romantic comedy-drama features Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. Aamir has liked the idea of the film and has agreed to do a special role in it, reports suggest. The shoot for the actor’s portions will apparently be wrapped in the next 15 days.

Nitesh Tiwari had directed Aamir Khan in his 2016 sports drama, Dangal. Based on the lives of Olympics coach Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters, Geeta and Babita, who became India’s first world-class female wrestlers, Dangal grossed over Rs 2000 crore worldwide, becoming the highest-grossing Indian film ever.

Laal Singh Chadda will be helmed by Advait Chandan, who had directed Aamir in Secret Superstar. Aamir’s last acting venture was Thugs of Hindostan
