CE Features

According to reports, the remake rights of Badla, the Tapsee Pannu-Amitabh Bachchan-starrer, which recently released to critical and commercial success, has been bought by producer Dhananjayan, and Trisha has been approached to play the lead role in it. However, there is no word about who will replace Amitabh in the Tamil version.

Badla, a remake of the 2017 Spanish thriller The Invisible Guest, had Amitabh portraying a witness consultant and Taapsee playing the role of a businesswoman. Official word regarding the cast and the crew of the Tamil remake is expected soon.

Interestingly, Trisha also has Garjanai, a film inspired by Anushka Sharma's NH10, in the pipeline. Aside from this, she has projects like Sathuranga Vettai 2, Paramapadham Vilayattu, and a yet-to-be-titled project alongside Simran in various stages of productions.
