The shooting of Irandam Ulagaporin Kadaisi Gundu, the second production venture of Pa Ranjith's Neelam Productions, was recently completed. With the final schedule, which happened at several locations in Chennai, Thindivanam and Pondu, wrapped up days ahead of plan, the film is all set to go into post-production.

Directed by debutant Athiyan Athirai, the film stars Dinesh, Riythvika, Anekha, Munishkanth, and Ramesh Thilak. Athiyan is an erstwhile assistant of Ranjith, and has worked on films like Kaala, Kabali, and Madras.

Athiyan had earlier told us that Gundu would be a travel film. “It will address hierarchical and caste politics in India and how a man frees himself from such shackles,” he said. 

The film, with music by newcomer Tenma, is all set to get a release in June this year.
