CE Features

Fahadh Faasil’s upcoming film, Trance, will feature an action sequence that was shot with the help of an expensive robotic camera. This is the first time that such a specialised rig, which is normally used by Hollywood studios, has been used in Malayalam cinema.

Supreme Sundar, who worked in the films Varathan and Swathandryam Ardharathriyil, is handling the action choreography of Trance. The much-anticipated film, which sees director Anwar Rasheed returning to directing after a seven-year hiatus, has Fahadh playing a pastor. Fahadh will be joined by actors Nazriya Nazim, Soubin Shahir, Chemban Vinod Jose, Vinayakan, Arjun Ashokan, and Dharmajan Bolgatty, among others.

Scripted by Vincent Vadakkan, the big-budget film has director Amal Neerad in the cinematographer’s chair and Resul Pookutty in charge of the sound department.

Anwar is producing the film under the banner of Anwar Rasheed Entertainment. Anwar’s last directorial was Usthad Hotel, which was written by Anjali Menon.
