Actor Sai Dharam Tej has pinned all his hopes on Chitralahari. Directed by Kishore Tirumala, the film's teaser was released today in Ramanaidu Studios.

The 69-second video begins with a sonorous voice-over of director Sukumar, who draws a comparison between Doordarshan's widely watched programme Chitralahari and the film that is about an array of contrasting characters. Nivetha Pethuraj, who plays one of the female leads is shown as a misandrist, while Tej is introduced as Vijay, a star-crossed youngster. The teaser also gives a glimpse of Kalyani Priyadarshan and a penny-pincher, played by comedian Sunil. The mellifluous background score, quirky characterisations and the interesting dialogues promise an emotional and fun-filled entertainer.

Speaking about the film's progress, producer Naveen Yerneni said, "The film's shooting is nearing completion and the post-production works are simultaneously underway. Our film's title, Chitralahari has struck a chord with the movie buffs and we are confident of the film's success. A grand pre-release event will be held in the first week of April followed by the film’s release on April 12."
