Sethupathi  sequel on the cards

The project will be funded by Shan Sutharshan under the Vanshan movies banner

Director Su Arunkumar and Vijay Sethupathi, who are currently awaiting the release of Sindhubaadh, might join hands once again. It looks like the Pannaiyarum Padminiyum director is all set to helm the sequel to the 2016 cop film, Sethupathi, which also starred his Sindhubaadh lead. This project will be funded by Shan Sutharshan under the Vanshan movies banner. Notably, all of Arunkumar’s films so far have had Vijay Sethupathi as the male lead. 

Vijay Sethupathi is currently awaiting the release of Thiyagarajan Kumararaja’s Super Deluxe, which hits the screens on March 29. He also has Seenu Ramasamy’s  Maamanithan, debutant director Delhi Prasad Dheenadayal’s Tughlak Darbar, and untitled projects with Vijay Chander and SP Jananathan, in various stages of production. The actor will be make his Malayalam and Telugu debut with Marconi Mathai and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy respectively.
