Lakshmi’s NTR trailer piques interest

CE Features

Following the dismal show of Nandamuri Balakrishna's NTR Kathanayakudu and NTR Mahanayakudu at the box office, enthusiastic film buffs are waiting for Ram Gopal Varma's Lakshmi's NTR. Starring West Godavari-based theatre artist P Vijay Kumar and Kannada actor Yagna Shetty, the film presents a spectrum of events which happened in NTR's life after the entry of his second wife Lakshmi Parvathy.

Just like the film's first trailer, the latest video too takes a direct attack on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and stirs up controversy. The 165-second trailer shows how CBN -- played by Sritej, with the support of his brothers-in-law, quietly ganged up to oust the then Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP)'s founder, NTR. It also depicts the shock, anger and disbelief of NTR's family including CBN, who staunchly opposed NTR's idea to get married to Lakshmi Parvathi and ends with NTR muttering "Mana daggara nijam undhi...nijanni evaru aapaleru" (Truth is with us and nobody can stop it).

Produced by Rakesh Reddy and Deepthi Balagiri, Lakshmi's NTR releases on March 22.
