Mukesh is turning singer for the first time with Rameshan Oru Peralla, directed by media professional-turned-filmmaker Sujith Vigneshwar. The actor has crooned a Goan-style song under the guidance of music composer Gemini Unnikrishnan. The film has cinematography by Sunil Prem.

Manikandan Pattambi is playing the central character of Rameshan, a cab driver. Touted to be a 'realistic' suspense thriller, the makers are intending the film to be a wake-up call for the public by pointing out some of the flaws in the country’s legal system.

Mukesh’s nephew Divyadarshan is also playing an important character in the film. Rajesh Sharma, who played a jail warden in Swathandryam Ardharathriyil, has once again donned the khaki for this film which also stars Krishnakumar, Krishnan Balakrishnan, and Arun Nair.
