Vinayan to direct Aakashaganga sequel next

The original film starred Divya Unni, Mayoori, Madhupal and Mukesh, and was a box office success

Director Vinayan has announced that his next directorial after Chalakkudikaran Changathi will be a sequel to his 1999 horror film, Aakashaganga. The film will go on floors next month. The original film starred Divya Unni, Mayoori, Madhupal and Mukesh, and was a box office success.

After Aakashaganga 2, Vinayan will start work on the recently announced big-budget film which will have Mohanlal playing the lead. The project will mark the director’s first collaboration with Mohanlal. 

In addition, Vinayan is also planning to do a new film with Jayasurya (whose acting career was launched through the director’s 2002 film, Oomappenninu Uriyadappayyan) and a historical film titled Nangeli.
