We had recently reported that Helena Bonham Carter, who was last seen in Ocean's 8, and Henry Cavill, best known for playing the Superman in the DC universe, have boarded the cast of Legendary Studios' film adaptation of the Enola Holmes books.

Now, we hear that Fiona Shaw has been signed to play an important character. The details are currently under wraps. The 60-year-old actor joins Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, in the project.

Shaw most recently won a BAFTA for her performance in the critically-acclaimed assassin series, Killing Eve.

Henry Cavill will be playing the character of Sherlock Holmes, while Millie Bobby Brown will portray Enola, the fourteen-year-old sister of established detective. Carter will portray Enola's mother in the project.

Written by Nancy Springer, the young adult novels, which follow the life of Enola Holmes, spanned six volumes.

Jack Thorne has penned the film's script, which reportedly borrows characters and settings from the universe of Sherlock Holmes. The film is said to revolve around Enola, who calls upon her elder brother’s help after ascertaining that their mother has vanished. Enola’s sleuthing skills rival Sherlock’s and leads to her solving numerous missing person cases.

Besides Legendary, Brown and her sister, Paige Brown, are producing the film through their banner PCMA Productions.
