Paul Rudd, popular for his role as Ant-Man, has now been roped in to be part of the new Ghostbusters film. The announcement was made via the Ghostbusters official Twitter account, where a video of Rudd standing in front of the building that was the base in the original 1984 Ghostbuster film.

Directed by Jason Reitman, the new film has been titled Ghostbusters 2020. “I can't wait to join the cast this fall for Ghostbusters. In fact, I'm sliming myself right now,” the actor has been quoted saying. Apart from Rudd, the film will star Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, and McKenna Grace as well.

Incidentally, it was Reitman's’ father, Ivan Reitman, who directed the original Ghostbusters film starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Harold Ramis as parapsychology professors who hunt ghosts. Murray and Aykroyd will be part of the new film as well. Ghostbusters 2020 will go on floors later this year and is set for release in July 2020.
