The Telugu-dubbed version of KV Anand's Kaappaan, starring Suriya in the lead, has been titled Bandobast. The Telugu title and a new poster from the film were revealed today by Baahubali director SS Rajamouli on Twitter.

He wrote,

It may be recalled that the actor-director duo's previous films Ayan and Maattrraan, were titled Veedokkade and Brothers, respectively, in Telugu.

Kaappaan has an ensemble cast of actors from all over the country. Mohanlal, Boman Irani, Arya, and Sayyeshaa play important roles in the film. The Tamil teaser of the film, which was released on April 14, carried a lot of reference to real-life politics and featured Suriya as a black cat commando, who sports multiple disguises to protect Mohanlal who plays the Prime Minister of India.

The makers are yet to announce the release date of the Telugu version, Bandobast
