Zoya Akhtar’s rap musical, Gully Boy, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, will play at the 10th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. The festival will take place from August 8 to August 17 in Melbourne, Australia. Shah Rukh Khan has been invited as the chief guest of the festival.

"I’m ecstatic to be a part of IFFM 2019 in Melbourne which is a melting pot of cultures. There’s a huge Indian community in Australia and I’m looking forward to taking Gully Boy there for a special screening and discussion on cinema with Australian audiences,” Zoya stated.

Released in February, Gully Boy told the story of an aspiring rapper from Dharavi, Mumbai. The film had its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival (BIFF) and was a huge success domestically. Zoya Akhtar’s last offering was Made In Heaven, an Amazon prime web show she co-created with Reema Kagti.

Ranveer Singh is currently working in '83. Alia Bhatt was last seen in Kalank.
