Priti Shahani steps down as President of Junglee Pictures

Producer Priti Shahani, known for delivering offbeat Bollywood hits like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Raazi and Badhaai Ho, has stepped down as President of Junglee Pictures. Priti has previously served as Chief Strategy Officer at Reliance Entertainment and was one of the founding members of The India Film Company, now known as Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. Priti is presently serving her notice period at Junglee Pictures and will be announcing her next venture soon. 

Founded in 2014, Junglee Pictures has produced six feature films so far. Their 2015 film, Talvar, inspired by the Noida double murder case and directed by Meghna Gulzar, won two National Awards. 2018 saw the release of Raazi and Badhaai Ho; both films grossed above 200 crores at the box office. Earlier this year, the production house bankrolled the wildlife-themed action-adventure film, Junglee, starring Vidyut Jammwal. The company’s upcoming releases include a web-series directed by Abhishek Chaubey and a film on the last days of Osama Bin Laden, titled Abbottabad
