Comedy Dynamics, the largest independent comedy production/distribution company, has announced via a press release that for the first time ever that the Razzies ceremony will be televised in 2020.

The 39th edition of the show had interesting choices of takedowns of various Hollywood films with Holmes & Watson getting the most number of awards with a total of four trophies.  Other awards went to Donald Trump and Melissa McCarthy. The Golden Raspberry awards were first handed out in 1981, and every year since then, the award show has grown larger in scale and has gained more media attention. Criticized by some, loved by others, the show is a parody which is about failure in cinematic achievements.

The Razzies are usually handed on the night right before the best films of the year are honoured at the Oscars. The extent of what the televised version will include is still unclear.

The ceremony will air live on the Comedy Dynamics Network.
