We had recently reported that director Sanjay (actor Vikranth's brother), who made the 2015 Vikranth-starrer Thaaka Thaaka, will be reuniting with his brother for another project, which will also star Vishnu Vishal, and will have its screenplay written by Vijay Sethupathi. The project has now been officially launched with the working title, VV18. Also, it has been revealed that Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing the music for the film.

The action-thriller, which is rumoured to be based on the football culture in North Madras, is bankrolled by Sujataa Entertainment.

Vikranth, in an earlier interview with us, had said, "Both I and Vishnu Vishal have powerful characters in the film. The fact that Vijay Sethupathi agreed to work on the screenplay speaks about the subject's potential. The thriller will have comedy and emotions laced into the narrative."

The film is expected to go on floors next month.
