Lyricist Madhan Karky has been roped in to write the dialogues of the Tamil dubbed version of Disney's The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau. The photorealistic animation film is a remake of the 1994 film of the same name.

It can be noted that Karky recently wrote the dialogues for the live action version of Aladdin, which was also bankrolled by Disney.

Despite starting his career in the film industry as a lyricist, Karky ventured into dialogue writing in 2010 with Shankar's Enthiran, starring Rajinikanth in the lead and went on to work on multiple big-budget films like the Baahubali franchise, Nanban and 2.0

It was recently announced that Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan, Ashish Vidyarthi, Shreyas Talpade, Sanjay Mishra, and Asrani will lend voices to the characters in the Hindi version.
