Jayam Ravi's next with Bogan-fame Lakshman went on floors on Thursday. The film, which marks the third collaboration of the actor-director duo, has music by D Imman.

The film, tentatively being addressed as JR 25, is bankrolled by Home Movie Makers, the production house behind the actor's Adanga Maru. The film also marks the Tamil debut of  Bollywood actor, Nidhhi Agerwal.

The film was launched to commemorate the 16th year of Jayam Ravi in the industry. The actor made his debut through 2003's Jayam, co-starring Gopi Chand and Sadham. The Mohan Raja directorial became a commercial hit, and fetched him the name 'Jayam' Ravi.

Sharing the news on his Twitter handle, Jayam Ravi wrote, "Started JR 25 with everyone’s blessings and good wishes.  Thank you to my fans and wellwishers for making my 16 years journey so memorable.  Deeply humbled and filled with gratitude."

Jayam Ravi, who recently made a cameo appearance in Thumbaa, is awaiting the release of debutant Pradeep Ranganathan's Comali. He also has Thani Oruvan 2 in his kitty.
