Nava Ithihasa, a film based on the dangers of declining female population

A Sharadhaa

Filmmakers Samarth M and Sri Rajani are confident that their debut project Nava Ithihasa will change the mindset of people, as it is a subject that delves into the disproportionate sex ratio in the country.

“The population of women is gradually decreasing in our country, and the consequences of this are what we have tried to show in our story,” says Samarth. “There were times when people were married to two or even three women. But today, it is the other way round. Multiple men are fighting for a woman. I believe this is the reason behind gang rapes. The future will be very miserable for men, and very soon they will find it difficult to find a life partner.”

Nava Ithihasa, which is in its post-production stage, has V Vikram playing the lead. Produced by Amrutha V Raj, the film has cinematography by Raje Gowda and music by Vinu Manasu. The makers are planning to release the film in August.
