After making brief appearances in Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava, Amar Akbar Anthony and Chitralahari, Sunil is once again trying his hands at comical roles. The actor will soon be seen in a pivotal role in Gopichand's espionage thriller, Chanakya.

"Sunil will be playing a very entertaining role and he also has action sequences in the film. His character will be a surprise for the audience and the makers have decided to keep it under the wraps as of now," informs a source.

Directed by Thiru, the film features Mehreen Pirzada and Zareen Khan as the female leads. Shot predominantly in Rajasthan, Chanakya has music by Vishal Chandrasekhar.

The team is currently filming an important sequence of the film with Gopi and others in Hyderabad, and the makers are planning to release the film in September.
