Actor Sundeep Kishan met with an accident on the sets of his upcoming comedy, Tenali Ramakrishna BA BL in Kurnool.

An on-set controlled explosion on the sets went out of control, and Sundeep ended up with injuries on his right hand and chest. According to sources, he will be unable to shoot for the next few weeks. The mishap was apparently caused due to mistiming and lack of coordination between the actor the stunt master. Sundeep was rushed to a hospital in Kurnool and was later shifted to Apollo hospital, Hyderabad for better medical care.

Directed by G Nageswara Reddy, Tenali Ramakrishna BA BL has Hansika Motwani and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as the female leads.

Meanwhile, Sundeep's upcoming film Ninnu Veedani Needanu Nene has been slated for release on July 12. Directed by Caarthick Raaju, the romantic thriller is being produced by Sundeep Kishan under his Venkatadri Talkies banner in association with Vista Dream Merchants. Anya Singh is making her Telugu debut with this film, which has music by SS Thaman.

It is to be noted that actors Varun Tej and Naga Shaurya too recently got injured during the production of their upcoming releases -- Valmiki and Ashwaddhama, respectively
