Mehreen Pirzada, who was last seen in the Telugu film, F2 – Fun and Frustration, is the new addition to Dhanush's next directed by Ethir Neechal-fame Durai Senthilkumar. The actor will be playing one of the heroines, while Sneha plays the other female lead in the film, tentatively referred to as Dhanush 34/ Production No 34.

Naveen Chandra, who is known for films like Sarabham and Brahman, will be playing the antagonist in the upcoming film, which will have Dhanush playing a dual role. Notably, Dhanush had played a dual role in Durai's last film, Kodi. Also, Dhanush will also be seen in a dual role - as a father and son - in Vetrimaaran's upcoming film, Asuran. 

Composer duo Vivek-Mervin and Om Prakash will be handling the music and cinematography of Dhanush 34, respectively.

The film, which went on floors on March 6 in Courtrallam, is produced by Sathya Jyothi films. It is notable that Dhanush has one more film with the production house under the direction of Ratsasan-fame Ramkumar.
