The shoot of Keerthy Suresh's upcoming female-centric film, tentatively titled Sakhi, began a few months ago. After shooting a few crucial scenes in Hyderabad, the team has now left for a 45-day-long schedule across exotic locales in Europe. Major portions of the film are expected to be completed in this schedule, which will commence on June 13.

"A team — comprising of 50 artistes and technicians — has left for Europe on Monday. They will be shooting a couple of songs in Spain. They will return to the city (Hyderabad) by the end of July, and complete the rest of the shoot here," informs a source.

Veteran actor Rajendra Prasad, who played Keethy's maternal uncle in Mahanati, will be seen as her grandfather in this family entertainer. Actors Naresh VK and Nadhiya are playing Keerthy's parents, while Bhanushree Mehra and Kamal Kamaraju will be seen as her siblings.

Produced by Mahesh S Koneru, the film, which is slated for release around Dussehra, is being directed by debutant Narendra Nath.
