Wrestler-turned-actor, John Cena, is the newest addition to the cast of Fast & Furious 9. He took to Twitter to announce that he has joined the franchise and will star opposite veterans Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez.

He wrote, 

However, there is no word yet about the character played by Cena. Though the actor will be playing one of the leads in the upcoming film The Jason Directive, alongside his fellow wrestler, Dwayne Johnson, the two of them won't be sharing screen space in the film. Speculations state that series regular Dwayne Johnson, who will once again play Luke Hobbs in the upcoming spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw, will not be returning for Fast & Furious 9.

Apart from this film, John Cena also has Playing with the fire in his kitty. Fast & Furious 9 is slated for a worldwide release on May 2020.
