We had earlier announced that Sivakarthikeyan will be joining hands with Vignesh Shiva for an upcoming project, temporarily referred to as SK 17. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film will have music by Anirudh Ravichander.

Now, we hear that Bollywood actor Kiara Advani, who was last seen in the Hindi film, Kalank, has been approached to play the female lead in the film. The actor had earlier made her Telugu debut in Ram Charan's Vinaya Vidheya Rama.

Interestingly, reports were rife last month that Alia Bhatt is the frontrunner to play the heroine in SK 17.

The film, which is the first collaboration between Vignesh Shivan and Sivakarthikeyan, will begin shooting in July and the film is slated for release next year.

Kiara Advani, meanwhile, is shooting for several projects like Kabir Singh (Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy), Akshay Kumar's Good News, Laxmmi Bomb (adaptation of Kanchana -Muni 2), Sidharth Malhotra's Shershaah.

Sivakarthikeyan, on the other hand, has an enviable lineup of projects: a sci-fi film with Indru Netru Naalai-fame Ravikumar, Irumbuthirai-fame PS Mithran's next, and director Pandiraj's follow-up venture to Kadaikutty Singam.
