Vikas Bahl cleared of sexual harassment charges, will be credited for Super 30

Director Vikas Bahl, who was accused of sexually assaulting a former employee at the now-dissolved Phantom Films, has been exonerated by an internal enquiry committee formed by Reliance Entertainment. Headed by Shibasish Sarkar, Reliance Entertainment owned 50% stakes in Phantom Films and has produced Vikas’s upcoming film Super 30. Following the enquiry committee’s report, the production company has clear Vikas of all sexual harassment charges and restored his credit as the director of Super 30.

“Yes its true that ICC committee report has exonerated Vikas. With ICC clearing Vikas Bahl's name we don't have a choice but to reinstate his credit as director of Super 30," Shibasish said in a statement.

The allegations against the filmmaker emerged in October last year during the #MeToo movement in India. A defamation case was subsequently filed by Vikas against his former partners Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane.

Super 30 stars Hrithik Roshan as mathematician Anand Kumar. The film is scheduled to release on July 12. Vikas Bahl is known for the directing Chillar Party and Queen.
