NGK, the long-awaited political thriller from Selvaraghavan-Suriya, opened to mixed reviews yesterday, with a section of the audience complaining about the lack of clarity in the second half of the political drama.

Acknowledging the audience's response to the film, director Selvaraghavan took to Twitter to thank the fans who have supported him. He remarked that the character of Nanda Gopalan Kumaran, played by Suriya, "has lots of hidden layers and secrets", which have been picked up by some. He also said that the layers are easy to find, if one watches the film "closely". The filmmaker further encouraged the audience to watch the film wirg friends and family.

Meanwhile, a few have been questioning NGK's U certificate, as the political film showcases quite some murders and violence.

Also starring Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet, NGK, produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
