With Sai Pallavi's latest release NGK running in theatres, speculations are rife that the Premam actor has been approached play one of the female leads in  director SS Rajamouli's next big-budget historical, RRR, starring Ramcharan and Jr NTR. The film has Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt playing Ramcharan's love interest. 

Notably, Hollywood actor Daisy Edgar Jones was initially announced to be playing Jr NTR's pair in the film, but she later opted out of the project citing scheduling issues. After this, actors like Parineeti Chopra, were rumoured to have been approached by the makers. Now, the latest update is that the team in negotiations with Sai Pallavi to play Jr NTR's love interest.

RRR is a fictitious story based on two legendary freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. While Ram Charan plays young Alluri Seetharamaraju, NTR portrays Komaram Bheem. Mounted on a budget of Rs 400 crore, the multilingual also features Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani and Nithya Menen in prominent roles. MM Keeravani is composing the music for the film slated to release on July 30, 2020.
